History of Rye, New Hampshire
1905 Edition
by Langdon Brown Parsons
I am delighted to offer the History of Rye, N.H., by L. B. Parsons, now in its fourth reprinting. This intriguing book presents a comprehensive accounting of the early years of Rye. The history of the town is recorded from its discovery and settlement to 1903 - a span of about 300 years. The genealogy of the inhabitants, comprising nearly two hundred different names, occupies almost 400 of the 688 pages in the book. There are 52 photographs and illustrations and two folded maps, showing the town in 1805 and 1851 and locating the residents, highways, and historical points of those times. An historical sketch of the Isle of Shoals and the former town of Gosport, now a part of Rye, is given.

The book is green hardbound as shown. Here is an example photo, from the book.
